Ok guys, sorry it's a bit late but I've been working all day installing servers at work... Been in about 45 minutes but had to eat first!!!! Eating

Right then, we'll be meeting at the Sixfields cinema car park at about 11.00am and leaving not too long after then. Lee, Yardley is completely the wrong way so we'll pick you up at Towcester McDonalds at around 11.30am if that's ok.

Not sure how long it'll take us to get there but I think the pub opens at 12noon for anyone going there directly.

See you tomorrow! Thumbs up

Rich

Well what a laugh we had today! A little disappointing that we didn't get to eat but fun all the same. Three venues in one meet! It seems that this weekend was probably the busiest for every pub in the country. We even tried McDonalds and the Harvester on the way home and the story was the same.

I've put some pics up on the website HERE!

Thanks to all who attended. Steve, great to finally meet you, and Chris I love the new wheels!

Rich

It was good to meet a few people and it was a nice sunny day for a drive with the top down, so even though we did not get to eat, was still a good drive out.

See you all next time

Good to catch up with you all again, just sorry we couldnt find somewhere to settle and have a meal and a good talk. The Oxfordshire magical mystery tour of 'full' pubs was good fun (for those of us without clean car OCD anyway )
Steve, sorry I didnt get to catch up with you properly , Chris, that's an excellent ZS you have, it'll be great once you get a top coat on it Wink

Ian sorry about the wild goose-chase around the Falkland Arms, but we didnt know where we were exactly, I hope you headed off the right way on the A361 eventuallly.

It was still a great day...even if I did end up eating in Daventry Macdonalds

See you all at the next one

The drive was fun despite the muddy road-I washed the car as soon as I got home

I was also distressed to tick over 30,000 miles in the ZS

Nice scenery but a shame about the food-here's to next time...!

Guys & Gals,
Good to see you all on sun - well marshalled as ever Rich & Kate & 'support'.
Apologies to those I didn't get to catch-up properly with (Lee, Steve etc) - and bigger apologies to those that I spent too long catching up with!

Great photos Rich
Hope I didn't disapoint with the 'mods'. Thanks for the great comments re the derv drinker - pretty awesome condition & you'd never guess the miles it's done from the way it looks & drives. Took a while to find a good un with the sunroof etc - just wants painting hey Nik! Bad news is she may have to go if work inforce the age/mileage rules. In the meantime I'll enjoy turbo-power with high mpg!

Hope you guys had a good trip back. Once I'd picked up the misses from Banbury we went for a drive into the country just west of - around Broughton 'castle' & Wigginton - some great twisty hilly stuff & clear single track roads. Much nicer than the Duck-to-Ma Larkin straight line! Still didn't spot any pubs but there must be some - I'll keep a look out.

Obviously quite a trek for you guys to come over but there are a few other north Ox/Bucks alternatives such as Brill Hill / windmill etc - let me know if you want any suggestions for later in the year. Or just pick a day where we can eat outside the Duck!

Happy modding (or fleet growing in my case)
