As posted over there, if there is no spark and if there is also no fuel being injected then the culprit will more than likely be the crank sensor. I always keep several brand new crank sensors in my tool box at work and in home garage because of this, although it won't help you much as I have 4 cylinder PG1 crank sesnors.

c0ck, the sensor snapped off in the hole, now its impossible to get it out without, removing the gearbox, and maybe the fly wheel again.

Don't think I can stomach it again, so its going to be sorn (again), whilst I decide if its going to the breakers.

Do you have a drill that can fit to go down the side of the sensor so it makes it easier to pull out.

I have been told to chisel it out, but first remove the inspection cover, the bits should fall out of it, either way, I have nothing to lose doing it like this, as if it doesn't work the gearbox has to come off.

Nope, you can twat it out as Steve mentioned its just that its a little more agressive that way, try not to hit anything else in the process though Smile and make sure that you get all of the remains out of the bell housing.

I saw drill as its safer and cleaner, drill down the side or the centre and then use a screw extractor or good wood screw to screw into the sensor and then use some mole grips to twist n pull it out.
